I got some weird notes too but I don't know if they're spam so I'd like to know if you got the same thing. They were notifications of new conversations in one group I'm a member of. They were in another language - except for the group name which was in English - and didn't link to an existing conversation.

Makes perfect sense... Usually we get to SPAM before you folks do due to akismet. It would be great to run every love note through it to see if it's SPAM or not, but love notes are non of our [or akismet's] business so it sounds like the report button is the best solution :-)

yep. i got something sort of similar a few days ago from someone whose name wasn't familiar asking to be my lover. i thought about it briefly.....but nah. would be nice to have a way to report :)

I suppose this is along the same subject, but I noticed this the other day.
Is there an option to block another user? I'm not having a problem with anyone nor have I ever had a problem in the awesome community. But, I'm sure there's someone out there who can't play well with others. I was just wondering if that was an option you've ever considered for this site?

Did you notice that she's been tagging palettes as "copycat, plagiarism, copy" and so on?

im only 15, but i believe that spamming other peoples love notes is just wrong. all they wanna know is how ur doin, and a little bit about u, not like bad or anything. Expreesion is very important, so let them say what they want, dont make a report button..... that would b nuts! This is a time 2 have fun, so if u dont like it, then never come on here, its your choice. No one is stopping u from never coming back on this site ever again! I personally luv this site, and i dont care if u dont like it. So shut ur mouths about tryin 2 get a report button on this colorlove sight! Its just plain wrong people, so dont hate... but luv everything, and dont try 2 make changes to this cite unless u made the cite!! Got that??

Hi, jdbfanllamas ! You may be a little young to realize it, but spams like this are often from untrustworthy, amoral, unprincipled people who may be a lot more interested in having sex or stalking than they are in making new friends. I certainly hope you will never respond to a message like this.

But when people like gittebirk are having 170+ notes from the same person, it is less than harmless fun. Why should people be forced to leave a site they clearly enjoy just because of a few small-minded individuals who make their time here so bad? Surely having a report button is a good thing. If you only get one or two spam notes you wouldn't be too bothered, but to that extremity it is a very big deal. Remember, nobody would be forced to press the report button, but for those being bugged so incessantly, it is a reassurance that something can be done to help.
